Paypal Question/Help Needed

Long story short.

I bought 3 items off a websight and sent a payment of $154 TWICE by accident, my computer was giving me problems and somehow I bought the items twice. So in my PP acount it shows 2 seperate payments of $154 for the same items, I emailed the seller and am awaiting his response. My question and worry is that I noticed the websight has not been updated since July so I fear this guy might not be working the sight or hardly checks it, ofcourse I saw the last update after I sent my payments. If by chance I dont hear back from this guy what do I do and is there anyway to get my money back?

And please I know Im an idiot for not emailing the guy first and asking if his sight was online and current inventory is up to date, Im 100% at fault and there is no fraud whatsoever.

Just curious what my options are if I dont hear back from him.

Thank You

  • I am not sure (and I can't check with my iPhone) but I think you can cancel a transaction sent by mistake.
If the option is not available on the website, call Paypal and say "agent" until they let you talk to a human being.

Worse comes worst, you will be able to open a claim if they don't deliver your item(s).

Easiest action is for seller to refund overpayment. if you used a credit card through paypal call paypal and if they won't help call CC company and explain. If you used transfer from bank account or funds already in your paypal account call paypal

Paypal payments cannot be cancelled by sender. Once sent, paypal informs seller "OK to ship." No backing out by the buyer at this point, money is now under control of paypal and/or seller.
