I think it happens far more than any of us would like to think. I actively search a few hundred dollars a week worth of rolls, and I have found many solid date BU rolls of (primarily) clad coinage, obviously plucked and held by a collector, and more than a few solid rolls of silver (mostly singles lately, however... been a while since I plucked a full roll). I'm always pleased to pluck 'em, but it rouses my ire a touch as well, knowing some little thief (likely) raided someone's collection.

<< <i>nice find....I got a 1968 canadian dollar...do those count? >>
Hadn't the silver gone out of the Canadian dollars by then? I dunno. I know they made silver dimes up through 1968. I found a '65 Canadian dime in the till at work not long ago. Silver!
Yep. Any piece of silver, let alone a quarter, makes that morning coffee a bit sweeter, eh? WTG, Coinosaurus.
I bought a soda and some gas at the convenience store (I'm not a coffee guy) several months back, and got one. Asked the cashier if there were more in the drawer and there were. Ended up with four or five of 'em. Also all 1964, though I think one or two of mine were '64-D. >>
nice find.I havent seen any in change for about a year.I'm sure that the pickings are slim out there.

Yep, that happened to me man years ago. Sometimes I wish I had bought silver coins when they were cheap but on thinking, figured I wouldn't have the m now anyway.
But....I'm in again and have a good collection of around $65,000 worth silver and gold.
