Hey, folks, how often have you seen 19th Century US gold in the Bargain Bin, hmmm? Could this be a first? I dunno.
I just got this holey 1871-G California gold quarter dollar in a trade.
But it turns out I already have a nicer example of the same type on my famous Holey Gold Hat.
So this one is a duplicate for me. Anybody want a teeny-tiny gold holey?
Looks better in hand than these somewhat indistinct and glarey pictures, which I think the previous owner shot through a 2x2 and I think a little bit of clear tape. I might attempt a reimage later, if nobody grabs it. (I'll have to make extra sure I don't lose it in the process!)
And before you ask, I am pretty confident that this is indeed a genuine Old West gold fractional and not a modern fantasy issue. (If anybody can educate me on what the "G" on these signifies, I'm all ears. "Gold"? The other piece on my hat has it, too.)
Price? Hmm. I dunno. I think I've got $65-70-ish in trade invested here. Sound like too much to you? Fine. Offer me a swap instead. I got it in a trade, so I might part with it in a trade.
Make offer, cash or trade. *** RESERVED ***
PS- OK, here are my scans of it. Maybe not a whole lot better than the last owner's photos, as they do not show the luster. But at least these show some of the detail a little better.
Never used.
$15 1962 PCGS PR 64, Obverse is nice, on reverse small black spot by wing
$18 1959 PCGS PR 64, Overall very pleasant for the grade.
$22 1961 PCGS PR 65, Obverse nice, fields are clean. The reverse is sweet with a little toning on the rim at 4 o clock.

No pictures this time (not sure how they'd come out in a picture anyway), but I just found two US coins in a big lot of older Darkside material.
I'm fairly sure both are Draped Bust large cents.
Both are about as close to Basal State as you can get- smoooooth, baby! These are more like PO0.001 than PO01 or FR02. Only the faintest whisper of Liberty's profile shows on the obverses, and then only barely- you have to turn 'em the right way to see it. The reverses are pretty much slick. The planchets appear to be about the right size and weight, though, based on a cursory glance.
Anybody want two very slick Draped Bust cents? Edit- Yep. Somebody did. THESE ARE SOLD!!!
I'd swap 'em for almost any price you'd care to name or cheapo trade bauble you cared to offer.
(Do try to offer a bit more than face value, though, eh?)

1908 IHC
A nice AU58 coin with plenty of red remaining (moreso than can be seen in my lackluster photos). Tempting to call this one Unc., but there is a hint of rub on the highpoints of Liberty's cheek and the hair near the diamonds. A carbon spot between T and Ai in STATES is the only detracting issue. Asking $18 shipped.
1910-S and 1911-S Lincoln Cents
Both problem-free VG8 coins. Asking $20 for the 1910-S and $50 for the 1911-S or take them both for $66 shipped.
Trio of Walkers
Dated 1928-S and 1941. Both 1941 coins are AU and the 1928-S is around a VG. Asking $43 shipped-just a few dollars above melt.
1901-O Morgan Dollar
Blast white coin which grades around MS62 maybe 63. Asking $45 shipped.
1877 Seated Liberty Quarter
VF details, however there is an scrape on the rim at 1 o'clock. I missed it the first time when I bought this otherwise crusty, original coin. A decent album filler. Asking $32 shipped.
If you see something you like but don't like the price, feel free to shoot me your best offer and I'll consider it.
