How rare is the 1872-S seated quarter reverse of 1871-S?

I have been trying to research this on the net but have had no luck.
There are alot of smart seated liberty people here so I thought this would be the place to ask.
So how many of these exist compared to the regular reverse???

<< <i>The 1872-s quarter is a rare date/mm in itself. I do not know which reverse is rarer. >>
Well all I know is I've read that the 71-S reverse is the rarest one.
My PCGS VF-25 1872-S quarter is the normal 72-S reverse variety and I was wondering if it would be worthwhile to try and have one of each.

By all means, grab all the 72-S quarters in holders you can find. I wouldn't worry too much about the variety, and 99% of the buyers won't either.

What he said. A very difficult coin to find, and a coin that seems to always be in demand, despite the high price.
Every one of these I have sold is now in a profit situation for the buyer.
Edit to add: Ebaybuyer, that is a super-nice coin you sold. Way better than usual surfaces found on 1872-S quarters!

The coin pictured looks like a very nice VF coin, I'm sure you were proud to own her.

Good luck finding the other variety. I have yet to see one available for sale. Ebaybuyer, that is a sweet coin, love to find one. I would settle for a G graded coin even.
