1968-S Jefferson.....Full Steps......Yes or No?

Picked this out of a mint set today along with a few others from the early 60's.

Looking for opinions on whether it might receive the Full Step designation.

Here's a 1968-S PCGS MS66 Full Steps that I am comparing it to.

Nice, but I doubt it will go FS.

The two spots of weakness kill it IMO

Compared to the coin linked, I'd say it is pretty close. Unless that 66 slipped through somehow.

No, but I'd save it for the someday box, not that it'll ever get it
but someday it may get a premium for being close

I agree that its nice, but I don't think it would go full steps. Very hard to find steps that nice on a 68-S.

No. That contact mark and the path of weakness underneath the third pillar are enough to prevent FS.

Not my series but I would bet no.

It is an FS!! It's as clear as day, can't you see it on the obverse of the coin!

They even put on an extra S just to be on the safe side image

For what its worth, I have always had little success estimating grades and designations based on already holdered examples. One never knows how many times a particular coin has been submitted to receive the designation. If a particular coin has a 1 in 50 chance, and has been holdered anyway, it represents a poor exemplar. I would assume the coin in hand must be noticeably better.

    No FS.

There's bridging in key areas of the steps that would prevent an FS designation.
