It was one of those weekends on the bay....

As hard as I tried, I could not win a single auction this weekend. Cards, coins, tokens, antique marbles, glass movie slides - even vintage matchbooks - didn't matter. People were paying big money all over the place !!!

How crazy is that ? I put in solid bids on a number of items and came up empty....

  • The world is coming to an end. I can't find anything to buy this weekend. Even this is out of control.
  • On an individual note, that makes for a bad day, however, for a seller or collector this is a good thing. It promotes a sign that our collections will increase in value. If people are out there spending money and bidding like crazy, when it comes time for each of us to sell our items, we will most likely get higher prices.
I'm building a 1968 and a 1970 Topps set. I have lots of 1970s and 1960s to offer in trade.

I seemed to do really good on anything that was midgrade but boy the vintage stuff that was low pop and higher grade went for out of sight money.
