Sunday morning 1962 PF set practice

Sunday morn, a light drizzle, great time to get in more photo practice.
Tried to be a consistent as possible. The Washie has two different shades but I'm aware of it.
Still have to work on smothering the coins with even light.
Let's see your attempts at 64 and prior proofs.
Keep on shootin,
Scott

My icon IS my coin. It is a gem 1949 FBL Franklin.
You are running that hundred dollar rig like a MAN! Holy Cow!
The camera was purchased from a pawnshop for $100, it's a FUJI S3280 FinPix, 14 MP, 24X zoom, P&S. The tripod was purchased from a yard sale for $5 and bought two $3 GE CFL's, 20 watt equivalent to 75 watt, Daylight 6500K, 1200 lumens. Already had the desk lamps and the editing software, it came with my scanner. I've been using the editing software that's supplied with Photobucket to enhance. This set-up cost me $111 total. Keep on shootin,
Scott

Can you take a picture of your setup? I would be interested in seeing your lighting and entire setup.

Here ya go Steph. It's comical, it's hilarious, it's generic.
For cents, dimes, and nickels I use a Mint box that was used for the 2 roll nickel sets and the
case for the Metal Gear video game, for the PS1. For dollars, halves and ASEs I shoot them on the copy-stand base.
The base is level, so is the cam using a small plastic level. Nothing elaborate or high tech. I also bought a cheap folding chair,
works prefect.
Keep on shootin,
Scott
Now this is my kind of set up! Thanks for the pic's. It gives me a good idea.
I guess I have to break down and buy a better camera than a point and shoot
With all the direct light on the proof's do you get much glare? Or do you place the lights differently?

My camera is a Fuji FinePix S3280 14MP, 24X zoom, P&S and everything is adjustable, WB, shutter speed, aperture, etc. Every coin and slab is different, most of coin photography is trial n error. You can read all the literature you want but you still have to take the pic eventually. I do have a matching gold colored desk lamp, but it's on my desk. The black lamp with the weight was a "do what you have to do" to take the pic. Shot some coins for a friend today, all Walkers so I had to improvise and adapt
