607 Scans later.... Finally Finished

So in the beginning of the summer I decided I was going to scan every card I own individually, and organize them into groups on my photobucket page. Or atleast every card pre 1960, after that, only the bigger names, or just cards that I personally like. So I slowly started with this project doing maybe 20 cards or so at a time, and I have finally finished, 607 scans later. I also wanted to do this because when I go off to college, I of course dont take my cards with me, so this gives me a chance to look through my collection away from home if I want to.

Below are links to all my subcategories. I know I like looking through other people's collections just for the fun of it, so feel free to look at mine.

Also, just wondering if anyone else has done this, or just attempted it, but your collection is too large. Have a great day everyone!

  • Great work and very nice cards.

When I had a larger collection I did the same thing. I have long since downsized but still have a few things scanned.

    Good stuff.image

    Evan,

Awesome job. That is alot of work but it is well worth the effort. You have some very nice looking cards as well. I have started to do the same thing. I am working on all my un-opened and graded Reds cards.

Great project. It sure makes it a lot easier to look at your collection when ever you want to.

I started my website a few years ago for that same reason.

    Nice collection!

Does anyone think it would it be a good idea to scan your collection and send the links to your homeowner's or renter's insurance company?

Other than my auto and game used collection, which i just collect my favorite teams, there is really no rhyme or reason to my collection. I try and focus on hall of famers or rookies but sometimes i stray away from that haha.

Really nice job on the scans. You have amassed quite a collection and I enjoyed taking a peak at it. Thanks for sharing and good luck in college!!!

BTW, what are you thinking of majoring in?

But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep."

"Life is what happens to you while you're busy making other plans."

    Collecting:
Any unopened Baseball cello and rack packs and boxes from the 1970's and early 1980s.

Congratulations on a job well done! Wish I had your work ethic - I've been "reorganizing" for years and getting no where!

Also - good luck in school! image

Thanks everyone for the kind words. It was a lot of fun to do, but just took a while to get finished. My major by the way is HRIM (Hotel, Restaurant, Institutional Management). Thanks again
