Pick 1 - Meachem vs. OAK in OAK or T Smith vs Cin at home (BAL) Intitial analysis has Meachem in a much better matchup, but SD
will be on the road in OAK. Also I'm not sure if Rivers and Meachem are on the same page yet? I am leaning towards Torrey Smith
60-40, even though Cincy's passing D is better than Oak.

My gut would also pick Torrey Smith.
Being Week One--it is pretty much a crap shoot anyway.
Phillip Rivers or Big Ben???
League 2) Peyton Manning (vs Pit), Jay Cutler (vs Ind), or Matt Schaub (vs Mia)
I am leaning towards Rivers and Schaub. I am a little scared of Peyton vs the Steelers, But, I am just not sure. Cutler might light up the Colts. Any ideas?
disadvantage there. Both are projected almost equally (Rivers 18.6 , Ben 16.8) If I had to choose one I would go with
Big Ben, although its like 51-49, simply because I figure the PIT DEN game could easily turn into a shootout, and
Wallace should be back for week 1.

Peyton, Cutler or Schaub? I think Peyton is in a tough matchup, buy hey he's Peyton Manning. Cutler gets a good matchup,
going against Peyton's former team. (IND) Schaub is also in a good matchup against MIA. I know what you mean about
seeing Peyton against the Steelers, but I gotta go with Peyton here, because he's Peyton Manning.

are looking better by the minute for Peyton.

Powdered - League 1 - Rivers. League 2 - Schaub
Chicago is playing such a weak defense that I have a feeling they'll be running the crap out of the ball most of the game. Especially with Forte and Bush and a solid defense at their disposal. No need for Lovie to let Cutler loose right away in week 1. In 10 games last year, he never threw for more than 2 TDs - and only threw for 300 yds in 2 of those games.
With Ryan Mathews out, SD will rely even more on the pass than they already do. Rivers might throw a pick or two, but he's also probably going to throw at least 2 TDs. Oakland should keep the game close enough throughout to ensure SD will need to pass early and often. Even in an "off" year (last year), Rivers still threw for over 4,600 yards and 27 TDs. In 2 games against OAK last year, he had 5 TDs and 2 picks and averaged about 300 yds in both games.
