I was perusing the Teletrade site and noticed some insane coins. And, NO, they are not mine. This 1893 Liberty Nickel caught my eye, as did several other. PCGS Secure Plus holder in PF67+ DCAM with a CAC sticker. I would like to see this one in hand! It is probably nicer than the pics. Link to auction

    I bet it's nice, but it's a proof, not a business strike. PF67+

What's up with the haze on the reverse? Hope it's on the holder, as for the grade it should not be there.

For a Lib nickel that one certainly has very impressive obverse mirrors and contrast. 1893 was apparently a good year for superb looking and well made proof coins as some of the most incredible cameo proof Morgans I've seen have been from the years 1893 and 1898. Interestingly a good number of proof 1893 Morgans also had strike issues.

Nice, but that holder is badly in need of polishing or replacing. Both sides have scuffs unbecoming the enclosed coin.

There is an 1889 Proof 66 DCAM Seated quarter and an 1893 Proof 66 DCAM Barber quarter that are nice. This whole auction is filled with awesome material!

Awesome though the reverse looks a tad less awesome given the grade. I love 19th century proof cameo coinage....who doesn't?? image

My wallet is always looking for 63DCAM examples of the small denominations which are generally quite affordable if you can find them...but they rarely seem to surface. image

These are the coins that did not sell in the Stacks auction last month.
