Starquest was a popular insert for over a decade and I believe 99 was the first year. In 1999 a card limited to 100 was still considered rare. That and people are stupid.
Extremely tough pull; I've been looking for a Frank Thomas for years. They fell one to every few hobby cases and just didn't pull with very high odds. Grade is of little importance when just owning the card is hard enough to do.
This is the single greatest thread devoted to modern insert cards in the history of shiny cardboard. I've been reading that since day 1, and occasionally am lucky enough to post something. Card companies produced some saaa-weeeeeet eye candy in the 90s.
