Here's another one I have, I've posted it before but I'll post it again because it's my favorite nickel error. It's a great off center brockage but the really nice part is that it's on a clad 10C planchet......
Perfect timing, I found this 69 s nickel in mom and dads collection, is there any reason to slab this? Are these double clips rare? thanks tom Apologize if the picture is not rotated right photobucket is messing with me...........
I am not an error collector and don't own any but I will post a photo of the one error Jefferson that I bid on and lost. It was such a cool looking coin, I couldn't help myself. IIRC, I bid in the $3K range and got crushed.
1tommy, the double-clip you posted is nice and genuine but not worth slabbing, it's probably an $8-12 error.

Has anyone else noticed the priced ragged clips like this are realizing on eBay right now? I watched two of them close in the last couple of weeks for very strong money, both Lincoln cents:
If someone had posted either of those here for an opinion, I would have guessed in the $25-30 range. I don't know how attached you are to your coin, aegis, but now would seem to be a great time to sell.

Could just be the reflection from the plastic, but are you sure that is not an SMS strike?

I don't know a thing about the coin but it definitely has the look of a San Francisco safety deposit box hoard coin, and most of those coins were SMS or proof errors.

These are scans from my scanner so it could just be an illusion from the reflections. I admit I don't know if it originated from the "SF hoard" or not and I never thought about it being an SMS. Next time I'm down at the bank I'll have to take a closer look at it and thanks for giving something to look into.

Interesting in that I don't see one bag mark on the planchet.

Yep, that's part of the overall SMS look I saw.
The more I look at it, the more I like Sean's Bank Vault Hoard suggestion. The positioning of the brockaged date is just too cute.

That coin was not in the SF Safe Deposit Box hoard that I purchased (containing the Two Tailed Quarter, among some other spectacular errrors.)
I've seen that 1965 Jeff. in-hand, and I don't believe it's a SMS coin - I think the photo just shows unusual 'lighting' effects.
