Is it kosher to slab fake gold?

I was reading this interesting story on a fake gold Joe at Stacks, and was really surprised when I got to this point.

<< <i> It is a fascinating piece and a good looking coin besides, garnering a PCGS grade of AU58 in a secure holder. >>

Is this something TPG's should be doing?

I don't think they would slab any of my contemporary counterfiets if I sent them in, so why should this piece make it in plastic. Guess I don't slab a million dollars worth a year though.

a specialist/trained in slaughter of poultry in a kosher way is basically what a "shochet" is and does etc.

As long as the slab says "CONTEMPORARY COUNTERFEIT" in bold lettering, it's OK with me.
