But can't blame the makers if people still keep buying 'em..
Collecting 1970s Topps baseball wax, rack and cello packs, as well as PCGS graded Half Cents, Large Cents, Two Cent pieces and Three Cent Silver pieces.
All signs indicate they are still be churned out, but I personally would like to know when exactly were they first produced, where and by whom ? Also, if they were originally sold at retail, where, when and by whom. They are obviously repackaged cards from the beginning, and as far as I know no one has claimed otherwise. But I think it is an interesting hobby mystery about their initial origins. I think Mark Murphy "reintroduced" them to the hobby and I have heard their explanation, but it is pretty vague. And, can anyone tell the "originals" from those being churned out today...like old staples ?
