Theoretical baseball signed by complete team

Here is a theoretical question that will help me decide what to do about my current vexing conundrum that I can't come to a final decision on. I make a decision, then change my mind multiple times.

I know I should "do what I want/collect what I like". But I don't know exactly what I want/like, so I am asking what YOU would do.

Lets say you desire a team signed baseball of a modern W.S. winner. (assume the ball has unlimited space), at what point would cut off the roster? Obviously, you want everyone that was on the Playoff roster, but is that it? Then what about the guys that played 70 games then had a season ending injury in July or made substantial contributions, then were traded?

If you want all the above, then what about midseason call ups that played 5-10 games, then went back down, or pitchers that made a small handful of relief appearance midseason? Would you want these guys on a W.S. championship item?

Thoughts?

Personally I would want the players that were on the team during the world series. I wouldn't have the players that were traded away or rookies that played a few games. I would probably make the exception for players that couldn't play because of injury. Maybe.

I try to get everyone that was on the active roster at anytime during the entire regular and post season, the manager and coaches, the bullpen catcher, the general manager, and the President/Owner.

It makes it fun to chase, and I like having autographs of people that had a hand in the teams success, either directly or indirectly with decision making authority. (however, I don't get the team trainer or bat boys/girls)

I have a big, baseball glove project that I'm currently working on this year of the Texas Rangers and crew, and those people listed are my targets. I think right now that's a total of 46 or so players/personnel/management, and I think I have about 38 of them now. Gives me something to chase and work on, as opposed to just having a group of 25 core players, that would get boring real quick if working on a project.

The Rangers threw me a nice curveball though this past week, bringing up a guy, Luis Hernandez, for two games only that I didn't have tickets to, and now they've designated him for assignment. I'm sure I'll eventually get him (as long as he or I don't die beforehand), and the chase to me is the fun part of collecting.

Jeff ... I think that's a tough one. I would say it depended on who the "missing" ballplayer(s) would be. If it were a superstar who had a season ending injury after 70 games, then YES I would want him. If it were a bench player, then maybe not. To me there is no one answer. I know you don't want to hear this, but it IS a personal matter.

I am going to guess that you are the first poster to use "vexing conundrum" in the same sentence in a thread! LOL

I don't disagree, but I get that response a lot on this board. Its not about 'hey, tell me what to do', its about finding out others thoughts and ideas, until one strikes me as a good idea, maybe one that I hadn't thought of yet.

mike - don't forget the broadcasters. For some teams, those may have the best signatures.
