Selling on ebay with reserve price question

I don't sell on ebay all that often and had a question I can't find the answer to. I have a auction on ebay with a reserve price. I was curious if anyone knew if the price is not met and I decide to relist will I be hit with the reserve price fee again or is the charge carried over from the initial listing? Thanks for any advice on the subject.

You should pay the relisting fee again (which is higher than a regular auction fee) but not the final value fee since it never sold.

It would be (a little) cheaper to just list for the minimum amount you want to get out of the auction.

From my experience buyers do not like the Reserve format anyways.

    Good luck with the auction.

    +1

Very rarely do I bid on reserve auctions. I may add them to my watch list and get involved once/if the reserve it hit.

  • Good luck and imo you are better off just starting your item at the price you are ok to sell it at, that has worked a lot better for me.

I agree. And currently it will not cost you anything to do this. I believe you get 50 auctions per month free as well as 500 per month free until the end of the year if it is in the Sports collectibles (or whatever the correct name of the category is) category.

Agree, put a minimum price on it or a buy it now feature. Reserve prices always make me immediately think "He wants more than its worth and I am wasting my time bidding on it"
IT IS ALWAYS CHEAPER TO NOT SELL ON EBAY
  • I see a reserve price; I move on.
