1979 Topps Baseball Wax Trays - Anyone selling?

I am trying to complete a full box of 1979 Topps Baseball Wax Trays. Thanks to the help of Doug (DCanfield) (who provided me with an empty box and several trays) and Tim (Grote15) would provided me with some trays, I am past the half way point to having a full box.

I don't check my messages that often - drop me an email at peter.bria@gmail.com

Many Thanks,

Peter

That is too high for a 79 tray, even with the sale price.

  • I got one at a show once for 20 dollars last year. I ripped them as soon as I got home? What are these worth?

Market value is about $60 a tray, imo....I recall not long ago when you could get them on ebay for about half that,
but price has risen a bit of late. The trays from 78 and earlier are especially tough to find.

I agree with Tim. At this time $60 should be the ceiling. Of course, condition is key. With the way 70's material is drying up that number may change in the future. You're probably smart to search now. Good luck on your quest! Doug

Thanks everyone for the help and comments. As I mentioned earlier, especially have to thank Tim and Doug. Two great guys who have a true passion for the hobby. I was born in 1974, and remember the 1979 packs being the first ones my parents would let me get as a special treat.

Just refreshing this to see if anyone has any. I need 6 more for a full box.

    Thanks!
