I'm really starting to hate Afghanistan...

I made three attempts to purchase a BIN on eBay, the first two attempts failed and on the third attempt, I received the message "Item No Longer Available." Someone else won the card because of our worthless overpriced satellite internet! My son would have loved the card!

It takes, on average, 45 minutes to complete a PayPal transaction... it's taken up to 3 days to complete one PayPal transaction. I can't wait until I return home in November!

I know it may sound trivial to some, but sometimes a small win negates the daily rocket/mortar/RPG/small arms attacks and provides a little escape from the realities of war. I'll even purchase things I would have never purchased back home for a moment of happiness.

Only 11 more weeks!!!!!

It's really not that bad... at least we have internet!

I'm homesick and a little moody. I cracked a couple ribs two weeks ago... they really come in handy at 7,200 feet! I was shot in Iraq and in 3 VBIEDs in Afghanistan the last time I was here. Who would have thought cracked ribs could be more irritating than being shot or blown up!

I'll find another one of the cards, it wasn't a 1/1. It's just nice to discuss cards with my son during our weekly phone call.

I appreciate the offer! eBay is becoming more a store and less an auction. If a card is listed as an auction, I place my bid in Auction Sniper and then forget about it until it ends. BINs are the only problematic "auctions" for me while I'm living the dream in Afghanistan!

It was a Historic Autograph card. Not a biggie... just frustrating.

What part of the country is your son stationed? I've been all over Afghanistan. There's actually some very nice areas.
