question about trimmed cards ?

I have a bunch of cards in my collection that I subimitted for grading and were returned as 'Trimmed'. Some were old raw card ebay purchases, a few cards I cracked out of old beckett slabs and submitted to psa which were returned as trimmed. Most of these are 80's topps rcs such as '82 Topps ripken & '83 Topps Gwynn. They all have great eye appeal and appear to be in great condition. I am only collecting graded cards for now and would like to sell them, but what options do I have for selling trimmed cards. If I put them up on ebay and state they were returned trimmed cards, would people still be interested.

Also, is it possible these came from the factory as trimmed or more likely a person tampered with the cards. A real shame anyway.

Thanks,
Mike

I have several cards that were returned to me as trimmed or miscut. Take another close look at the edges, sometimes you can feel the difference in how smooth the cut is.

You can send them in again, a few will probably grade. As far as coming from the factory trimmed, that is doubtful, that usually results in a undersized or miscut, not trimmed.

I do not bother to try to sell cards that have been returned to me as trimmed. You are correct in that people would probably not be interested, but if you just want to get rid of them, list them as such in a .99 auction, someone will buy them.

People have been tampering with cards for years, PSA has been catching a lot of this, but they do make mistakes, send in the most valuable cards one more time and see if they grade.
