Opened a strange 2012 Topps Chrome blaster box..

I bought it at Walmart this morning. First of all, I was surprised to see there was an extra pack that had 4 purple refractor cards as a bonus. Ok that was cool. Then I opened up my first pack and they were all purple refractors. Well, so happened, ALL the packs were purple refractors except I did hit a gold refractor, a couple xfractors, and a die cut insert. I didnt even know purple refractors would be found in regular packs? Anyone know anything about this? The unfortunate thing is that I didnt hit anything big...no Harper, no Darvish, etc....

    I know they have "hot" boxes in Chrome hobby boxes. Perhaps you've hit the equivalent of a "hot" blaster. I believe the blasters are supposed to come with one pack of four purple refractors that are retail exclusive.

    They have hot boxes this year

    blasters and hobby boxes

    blaster will be all purples and hobby all regular refractors

    ah ok...well damn it, nothing really hot in the box LOL Was cool to get them though. Thanks for the info!

    Just opened a Walmart Topps Chrome 2012 box which was 9.99. I am embarrassed for buying it. Will never again be sucked in to Walmart card blingery. Best card: Torri Hunter in some sort of silvery border that has a dude ramming him, based on his facial expression. If I could post a picture, I would. Can anyone assist in posting a picture of the 2012 topps chrome torii hunter card with his friend ?
