Got my packs from BBCE Today

It seems that my 86 Fleer Basketball Pack has nothing in it. Sequencing is not good for me
I didn't open it so it's off to be graded. Good luck everybody! Also my (2) 80-81 packs did not have the Bird/Magic rookie showing.

Glad you received your packs. I'm not at work today, so hopefully my package is waiting on me tomorrow.
Thanks,

Could you explain this in a little more detail? I'm not sure I'm following correctly and have one of the packs coming. If you don't want to post it here please pm me. Thanks!
Should I leave unopened or rip?

Doublestriker, the sequence being 66 cards apart is correct, but your sequence above is not.

Probably because those who don't know the sequence might still be able to preserve the element of surprise when they open their packs. I for one would hate to ruin someone else's fun.

So you work for BBCE and openly acknowledge that you know the sequencing on packs that sell for $350? Not sure that is something I would be telling everyone.
PS... Reed love your posts, I would love if you started a thread about all your adventures

Obviously an Alt...His comments prove you can trust BBCE with your life...Consistantly Jordan's have been pulled from group rips even though they know the sequence of not only 86 Fleer but a lot of other packs. Even sent out a bird magic rookie showing thru the pack.. Keep up the great work BBCE.

I would trust BBCE with my wife.
Ummm Is this right? lol
Reed, great to see you posting again. Hopefully no one pays no mind to the troll.

Be careful, she might come back to you wrapped in plastic. I won't even mention where the business card might be.

As long as she doesn't come back out of sequence, I'm fine with it.

There's no way we'd pay 5 figures for a box unless we could verify the packs were good and all the Jordan runs were intact. You can be sure I personally spent at least an hour inspecting the box you guys broke for this group rip, ensuring there were the appropriate amount of Jordans (and everything else) in the box. If everyone opened their packs (I can dream, can't I?), I will stake my reputation that the box yields at least three Jordans.
I'm still on probation, but I love 1986/87 Fleer Basketball, and I want to lend my insight on this product.

Collecting Pete Rose Cello Packs
Pete Rose Master set ranking #4(Retired)
I have yet to receive my package, but have two questions on the 86/87 in preparation:
1. Although the 66 difference will always be present, doesn't the configuration skip somewhere in the pack, i.e. something like starting with 100/34/99/33/98/32 and then jump to something like 69/3/68/2/67/1?
2. Is the sequencing so specific that you would never see Jordan's base card showing? It's statistically probable, but I'm curious if the collation is specific to having specific base cards showing.
Thanks!!
Aaron
That is not the issue, IMO.
The problem is that there are others who read this board who are not as trustworthy, and they have just learned a great deal of info on a very expensive pack. With this info being widely disseminated, do you think that I will be buying an '86/7 Fleer pack in the near future? Uh, no. Unless it comes from a full box from BBCE, I would stay away. And it is not just Reed disseminating the info. There are threads on the board with sequence info that only benefits dishonest people. I have never liked sequence threads, and certainly not one from one of the most trusted sources in the hobby.
If you feel the need to disclose sequence info, do it in a PM.
Some info should simply not be shared.
Thanks,
David (LD_Ferg)

<< <i>They're not going to jeopardize potentially hundreds of thousands of dollars in sales by tampering with a $375 pack. >>
This is my favorite statement on the boards.
Yes, I (on behalf of BBCE) may get vilified for some of the posts I've made here, but if we didn't have solid business principles, I'm almost positives these group rips wouldn't exist. We spend tens of thousands of dollars annually on print advertising (SMR, Beckett, SCD) and get a lot of exposure on the message boards and our Facebook page, but the best form of advertising comes from satisfied customers. We want everyone to get a rookie HOFer in every pack! It's not mathematically possible to pull a big card out of every pack or box that gets cracked, but at least with product that has been inspected by BBCE, you have a fair and honest chance.
I'll step down from the podium now, and looking forward to seeing what everyone else gets from the break. Have fun and good luck!
