Ebay seller somersetvelvet

I seem to recall some discussion of this one, but with the search feature being broken right now I can't check for myself. Anything a buyer should watch out for?

NOTE: Not trying to sully a seller if he's a-ok, but I do seem to recall something discussed here.

  • If I recall correctly, some board members felt that his scans were a little bright (i.e., too much photoshopping), but in my experience, dealing with somersetvelvet (aka bucklercards http://bucklercards.com/) has been a pleasure. I find Chris and his wife (also named Kris, I believe) to be very pleasant and trustworthy.

Edited to add: this thread, where Chris addressed questions http://forums.collectors.com/messageview.cfm?catid=11&threadid=707991&STARTPAGE=2

The search is working fine for me. Don't use that "search" link between "profile" and "chat". Instead, use the search text box that is that is on each forum page.

Here are some old threads about that seller.

Pete ... I think the only problem with that is the key word must be in the TITLE of the thread. With the other search you can search for words in the thread as well. I might be wrong ... LMK if that's the case.

You're right. I guess the best way to search for words that aren't in the title is to Google "site:collectors.com Albert Pujols", for example.
