Question about A&G rip cards....

Pardon my ignorance, but I have a question about the A&G rip cards.
I can see (read) the backs of the card what the rip cards will contain, but will the mini inside card be the pictured player on the rip card itself?

For example, will a #'d to 25 (or whatever) of a Jay Bruce (for example) rip card contain a JAY BRUCE mini inside?... or will any rip card produce any random player?
Does the player on the rip card itself have anything to do with the mini inside????

Thanks in advance for your A&G knowledge!

They're all random and the lower numbering of some of the rip cards mean nothing as for what's inside them

Russ, the card inside the rip has nothing to do with the player pictured on the front, nor does the rarity of the rip card (/10, /25, /50, etc) have anything to do with the rarity of the card inside.

Rip cards can reveal either a /10 red ink auto, a 1/1 "wood" mini, or a mini from the extended series (351-400). The extended series are considerably rarer than SPed minis from the base set and can command a healthy premium.

Are the rip mini cards numbered 351 - 400 limited to a certain number of cards? Just how short printed are they? I am thinking of dropping a few bucks a one but don't want to buy it unless it limited to a 100 or less...

I think the run of the 351-400 have been figured out at around 75 of each

Zep, I just checked out your link for the first time. That is an incredible A&G collection, you've got there! I really like the way you've got them displayed.
