  • Thanks, here is another from the same set.

  • I got this card as a gift over 10 years ago, I've never heard of that grading company. I would like to remove it but I'm afraid I will damage the card. Two different scans of the same card, old scanner vs. new scanner. I have to get a new scanner.

Ahh, USA Grading. They were located in Tampa Fl and lasted around 3 years or so. Man there had to be at least 30 different grading companies between 98-00.

I like original Topps cards myself. Just my personal opinion.

    Shane,
I agree, back when I was actively getting autos I only got baseballs and 8x10 signed. I thought it damaged the card, I have since changed my mind and wished I had used vintage cards instead. I just realized the only Topps card auto of a Cardinal player that I own is Enos.

  • Back to Musial, I like the looks of this entire set. I have a few others and would like to complete the set someday.

That's a great card. Do you know the history of when it was signed and did you sub it?

Very nice, Do you happen to know when he signed it. I like to compare his signature by year. The 1988 DR above was signed at the Nashville Opryland show in fall of 1988.

    Thanks

My humble Musial. Purchased in the late 1980s, very cheaply. Authenticated just last year. Sorry for the strange coloring on the photo.....looks good in person!

  • Keep them coming. I love seeing all the old Musial IP autos. If anyone can remember the approx. date he signed the card for you feel free to add the info. I don't own the card below but on another forum they were discussing how bad his signature has gotten. I think he still has a nice signature especially since some of the young players basically sign with an X or other sloppy nonsense.

Here's one of mine. It was signed through the mail in the mid-late 1980's:

Sorry Paul, I just saw your question. Mine was signed in Feb 2011. I sent the card to Stan to be signed through his company.
