Before and after

I bought this 1958 Topps Clemente on Ebay for $26. It shows paper residue from being glued into a scrapbook. I took a knife and started scraping the scrapbook paper away, but I wasn't satisfied with how slow it was going. I was thinking that I could scratch the paper off leaving the glue and I would just live with it. Then, I decided rub it with a damp wash cloth to make it easier. What I discovered was that it was also taking off some of the glue. I was able to peel the glue very easily because the moisture actually soaked into the glue and made it soft. I was very pleased with the result. I have some before and after pictures below.

Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.
