Passing down the love for cardboard

So I thought I would share a little story today as I "think" my son has embraced the love for cardboard in his genes.
Growing up I had an intense love for Strat-o-matic baseball and baseball cards. Ever since my son was born a bit over 10 years ago, I have tried to pass on my love for card collecting. It's been a fairly feeble attempt - seeing him break open the factory sets I bought him from birth to trade the contents for Pokemon cards. He has stints of enthusiasm for the hobby as he sent in two cards from His last factory set to get a PSa 10 Strasburg Rookie and I let him get the Babe Ruth chrome insert graded as well - which he also got a 10. He took an interest in helping me evaluate cards for submission etc, but the interest comes and goes.
We recently moved, and low and behold both boys his age in the neighborhood like to collect. Immediately, his interest has blossomed. He has spent the last several days organizing cards in binders, getting excited about random 1980 football cards and trading with his friends. Nits been awesome to watch. Today we cracked four boxes of topps 2012 minis and still have 2 boxes of 2012 topps football to go. He is completely excited. Just fun to see.
I realize the enthusiasm for cards may not last and he is begging me to send in some 1990 score football commons unquestionable shape in for grading - but it's all worth it. For at least a weekend its the two of us being giddy over openicg packs and I'm loving it.
Just though I would share
