Gum ball Helmets

I had a box full of the Gum ball helmets from the 70's and 80's..
Do we have any one on this board that still has them or still collects them?
If so lets see them. I know at some point i even had a goal post with them.

  • I had a shopping bag full of them!! .25 cents for the plastic capsule. I don't think I have any of mine, but thanks for triggering a great memory!!

  • Those things drove me nuts as a kid! Trying to get your favorite team was impossible and then the damn logos would always fall off image Way cool to see the Display Goal Posts!

I remember my older brother had every team, and he would have a whole schedule and season made up. He would have the helmets "compete" against each other by colliding the two helmets together and which ever helmet had it's face mask pop off, that team would lose the match-up. He kept a weekly standings, had playoffs and super bowls. I would just watch him play all day.

He did the same thing with paper football triangles. He made one for each team and would have them compete against eachother by flicking them and seeing which flew farther and was more accurate. Good freaking times... image
