Question; Re: 4SC web site

Today, I saw an item listed by 4SC that I've been looking for, so I purchase the item on their web site, along with a couple of other items to get the free shipping.

I recieve a paypal receipt for the purchase, but order status on the 4SC web site reflects "awaiting payment."

On top of that, the items are still listed on eBay, and I sent them a message on eBay explaining that I just purchased the specific item from their web site. I also tried to call them, but I missed the window for their business hours

I've made enough purchases from 4SC to know that the listing on eBay is supposed to end once the item is purchased from their web site, and I had a past experience with them in that I didn't receive a card that I ordered from their web site, because the item wasn't pulled from eBay and someone ended up snatching it up on eBay (it took a few days to get that resolved through their cust. service rep Tracy).

So with all that being said, would it be alright to do a BIN on the items and not pay for them until my order status is squared away and prevent someone else from buying them over the weekend, or would that be uncool?

Not a bad idea at all - then you can just mutually cancel the Ebay sales, they get their fees back and you won't have to worry about someone snatching up your item over the weekend

It looks like they were having a sale on their website, correct? I would wait a bit. Grabbing the stuff on ebay would be a hassle for them and they might cancel your transactions.

hitting a BIN for the sake of fear is not the best plan IMO

if it is a rare card, i would have just gotten it on eBay. i do not like that they have some stock only on eBay and not in their store.

I disagree - the hassle is their own fault for not pulling it off Ebay when sold on the website. If they can't understand why a buyer would do that to protect their own purchase, they don't deserve the sale IMO

I agree, the hassle is their own fault. But the OP said he really wants the card, so, knowing 4SC can be a little cranky sometimes, he should probably hold off on hitting the BIN.

Edit: If you want to mess with them, have someone else hit the BIN and cancel the transaction on Monday.

I got an email from the guy at 4 sharp corners this afternoon and he said he was headed out of town and would not be available till monday. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the heads up, I guess I'll just hold out and hope it doesn't sell before my order goes through in their system - it's an inexpensive card, just a tough one that doesn't pop up on ebay very often that I need to complete a set....I'm sure that many of you can relate.
