Tom Hall, Golf & Mickey Mantle...

My Dad golfs a lot in the Southern California area and he's in the process of joining a new club. Yesterday in his foursome he golfed with Tom Hall (1968-1977 major league pitcher). He called later to ask if I had heard of him and if they made any cards of him because the other guys at golf didn't know much about him. They were even asking Tom if they ever made any baseball cards of him. I looked him up on baseball reference.com and checked his game logs. I gave my dad a few cards to show the guys and told him to mention that August game his rookie year when he couldn't get out of the first inning against the Yankees... which included a base hit, rbi and stolen base by Mickey Mantle!!!

Hall had a pretty decent career. He had only ONE losing season; he was a starter as well as a reliever; he went 10-1 in 1972 in his first year with the Reds and had a lifetime win/loss percentage greater than 60.00%.
