PSA Blue Flip / Red Flip Question

Hi Guys,

I'm going to ask a very basic question - is there any advantage to authenticating an autograph in a red flip other than the ability to have the card graded? I assume, if I just wanted the autograph authenticated, that the blue is the way to go. I just didn't know if there was a market preference to having the red flip versus the blue flip.

Thanks in advance!
Aaron

Die hard PSA members will say Red so you can add it to the set registries. I've found that when only caring about the autograph that the blue flip is the way to go. Eveyone in the general public knows the blue flip means authentic auto, and if you have the red flip it seems to throw them off. Resale wise, I've noticed better results with a blue flip. But if you have vintage cards that are decent shape it's worth your time to get the red flip.
