Help Me Find this one card!!! Set Complete, Mystery solved.

I have searched over 10,000 cards and about 100 of this card and I still can't find this error card from 1981 Donruss

It is #87 Larry Hisle and it has 3 variations;

87A LARRY HISLE (1977 highlights line ends with a %)
87B LARRY HISLE ("...Twins with 28 RBI")
87C LARRY HISLE ("...Twins with 28 HRs")

I need the first variation to complete my master set.

PM if you have one of these cards.

    Try hitting up Gumby. He had a load of Brewer stuff. Maybe BrianWintersfan. Both from Milwaukee.

    I collected these (and the 81 Fleer) errors as a crazy kid and have close to all of them. I was unaware of the 87A error with the % sign - I have the 28 RBI card. The old (before beckett magazine) baseball card magazine had a list of all the errors for both the Fleer & Donruss sets. It listed 38 'errors' that were corrected by Donruss - I'm sure there were more discovered as time went by. I will post a scan for your viewing pleasure - this card does indeed exist. I need to check the other Larry Hisle card to see if it had the % sign.

    The front of the card is probably 25/75 L/R centering.

    WeekendHacker,

    I have the RBI and HR versions, but I still can't find the % error.

    I am beginning to think the card does not exsist.

    Hmmmm

    Is there a book that has the "official" variations listed?
  • carkimcarkim Posts: 1,166 ✭✭
    I just spoke with Cosetta at PSA and she advised me the the % variation does not exsist. All the reference documents that she has does not show this (%) variation.
