It's always a good show when you can hang out with a bunch of your friends.
I did manage to take home these 2 NOrfolk Nationals. I saw an 1882 series $20 Natinal from Norfolk but the signatures didn't look right. They were in a very thick ink. I took a magnifying to them and noticed a thin inked signature under the thick signature. It didn't look right to me so I passed on it and brought home these two. You gotta love the honest wear look of these!
The Treasurer of the United States, Rosie Rios, was there signing autographs. What was cool was that they were trading any $1 bill for a brand new series $1 bill that has Mrs Rios' signature. Unfortunatley we were limityed to 3 items. Mrs. Rios made it a point to talk to each person for a minute or two. She is a very charming woman!
Too bad the BEP wasn't giving these sheets away for free!
You never know what you'll find a show! I found this at Greg Allen's table. I've know Greg for a long while. He's a good guy. He said that he got this from a woman who use to work at a bank in the 50s and 60s who clipped the corners off of bills.
Of course, you can't go to Philly and not have a cheesesteak! I found a new favorite place! It's a place in soiuth Philly called Tony Lukes.
This is the crowd on a Saturday afternoon around 3pm.
The one thing about people in south Philly is that they will park anywhere! Tony Lukes is ona 4 lane highway with a marked divider. Even the cops will park in the middle of the street for a Tony Lukes cheesesteak!
