So I have been buying a bunch of wax from BBCE

Probally about 6-8k over the past two months and the last few orders I placed I split with a buddy. A few weeks ago we ordered 2 1975 topps...I take one pack he takes the other...he pulls a George Brett and Keith Hernandez, I do not pull crap. Today we got in 2 1986 fleers....it figures he pulls a sharp jordan and I get stuck with a 90/10 centered Ewing. Oh well maybe I should stick to just buying graded cards. Needless to say the packs from BBCE are definitely legit.

Keep busting. Its part of the hobby.
You are due to get a good pull. 0 for 1 isnt the end of the world. At least the best card was in the 2 packs he sent you. Not bad odds for you.

Your are 100% right about Steve. He is fair with his prices, is the best un-opened pack expert out there and if he makes a mistake, he takes care of you and doesn't think twice about it. We had a box (I think 79 Topps BB) that got by Steve. It was clear the packs had been searched. Steve told everyone to keep there cards and gave everyone who bought a pack a store credit. That's top notch service.

If you look back at the past group pack breaks, you will see all kinds of stars on top and bottom. We broke a 76 cello BB box and I got a Brett on back and someone else got a Yount on back. That's two of over a hundred examples.

Steve is the only unopened guy I completely trust.

  • All,

You are all absolutely right about Steve. He's very fair and provides quality, unopened products. You can feel 100% confident in his inventory.

He is also very timely in answering any questions you may have. Awesome guy!
  • I did pull two Jerry Rices, two Boomers, and two Steve Youngs out of an 86 box I bought recently, my worst box was an 89 score football in which I did not get any barry sanders. My best pull was a Montana rookie, 4 razor sharp corners and 50/50 centering all around, has a tiny white print mark on the bottom or else I think it would have graded a gem mint for sure. I did pull 6 nolan ryans out of an 81 topps box, unfortunately none were centered. I must say ripping the packs is addicting, hopefully I can pull something out of this group rip. I did notice on the 86 fleer that it is true that the cards go back in a six number sequence as I had read about previously so when my buddy had a clark kellogg showing at the top I figured the jordan would follow which it did.
