Any one else receive a call from Beckett?

I got a call today from them offering 5 submissions for $42 paid in full. I have only sent to them once before and had horrible results. I was wondering if anyone else got that call.

I didnt get that call but it sounds like they are desperate if they are cold calling past submitters for business
I am on a budget and I am not afraid to use it!!

Beckett has done several promos for past customers. I think it is smart business to contact customers who may have not submitted in a while.

I remember a year ago it was PSA, Beckett, and SGC as the big 3. PSA was always #1 but the other 2 were still players. It seems of late that the distance between #1 and #2 is widening substantially in terms of credibility and popularity

Curious if the credibility had anything to do with the off-centered Strasburg 2010 Bowman Chrome that was given a 9.5?
  • i'm making my first move into shiny new stuff with some new issue Bowman - i'm a PSA member - what do you guys suggest for the high end carrds? never dealt with Beckett before - advice welcome.

I bit on the offer. I have some Star Co. Jordan's that I want to get graded. The value of the cards are 0 to $1,000 so I have a few to send in. I will probably send in the oversize cards of Jordan. Has anyone ever sent in Star cards to beckett? I wonder how their grading is now. I sent in cards 10 years ago and the grading was brutal. I got a 7.5 on a Vince Carter high dollar card, cracked and resubmitted to PSA and got a 9. They use to be really tough back in the day.
