Can I send my BBCE order straight to PSA?

Ive got a lot invested into the latest rip. Can I just take the bbce package, fill out a form, and put the bbce box into another box and send it to PSA? I don't want to even open it. Thoughts?

<< <i>At that point though - how does PSA know I bought from Steve and not eBay? >>
Since PSA does not add the attribution "from a full box" to the flip, it
really doesn't matter. I've bought packs from both Steve as well as
other sources and submitted them successfully to PSA. Steve is going
to authenticate the pack the same way in any case.

<< <i>since steve is also the one authenticating, it is much better from a transparency and legitimacy standpoint to send to your house first. agree that it's a bit silly and a bit of a pain, but eliminating concerns about pack grading/authenticating collusion is another strong factor in favor of going against the 'direct send' option. >>
Plus, the additional work it would entail on Steve's part to keep everything straight.

<< <i>Well, he could charge a premium for it - and honestly, id pay at times >>
the problem is Steve does not grade the packs... so you might not be happy if the pack comes back as a PSA 5. All packs from Steve are not mint - you still have to make the choice to send them in.

<< <i>i wish they did - bought some 75's that were beautiful and ended up ripping them - had wanted to get them graded but they kept whispering to me - wish i had kept them intact. >>
I hear voices.
<< <i>It would be good for PSA to grade packs at a National some day. I think a lot more packs would get holdered if you could complete the process at the same location. Shipping packs back and forth to PSA and Steve Hart greatly increases the risk of tears forming. After having a pack tear in my submission and seeing a PSA 9 1969 and 1965 wax pack on eBya that both had major tears from the gum, it's gotten to the point that I won't buy a holdered pack unless I pick it up in person. >>
The logistical problem with this is Steve would have to spend valuable time inspecting the packs for PSA. The week of the National is crazy busy - setting up the booth, buying deals, pricing items, waiting on customers, answering questions, and doing tons of favors for other dealers and collectors. It would be hard for Steve to represent BBCE to the best of his ability when he'd have to commit numerous hours for PSA at the same time.

Come on Reed ... Let's assume Steve currently spends 16 hours per day during The National. That leaves another 8 hours per day for Steve to inspect packs for PSA. Sleeping? Eating? Heck, it's only 5 days! LOL

<< <i>No joke - does anyone have any advice for me on how to not rip my stuff? Is there a mantra or something? A chant I can do to ward off the whispers from the 73 pack "hey it's me Schmidt gem 10 rookie card - rip me out then go get dr j". I can hear them already. I wake up every morning in a pile of crisp bright perfectly folded 75 wrappers still wondering how I ended up with 4 90/10 Fred Stanley's and a fish eyed Pete rose - all with sharp corners and edges mind you.
Please help! >>
I'll tell you what I do--I inspect each pack with a magnifying glass and as soon as I find the slightest flaw, I rationalize that this pack will not grade PSA 10
if submitted so I may as well open it and hope to find a PSA 10 card inside...oh wait, you want advice on how NOT to rip, right?

I've done that with some packs from old BBCE group rips I found while I was moving. It was horrible, I started with 74 and 76 TOpps wax packs, then 81 FB and finally 85 Garbage Pail Kids series 1. I got nothing in the BB but was lucky to pull a Montana RC, OC but it was going into my PC as a pack pull anyway. I did find that all the GPK 1 packs were the glossy version. I guess that's worth more.
