If I remember right from reading past post some of you here are very knowledgeable on these. I've seen several of these MTB bars before and they have been JM or Englehart bars but this one has an MA stamp. Can anyone tell me anything about this.

    Thanks for sharing the pictures and the info.
    I saw it a while back but couldn't find any info about MA.
    Would be curious to see how much it can bring.

    Nice bar... The "MA" below the .999 stamp on reverse refers to Medallic Art of Nevada who minted these bars from JM, Engelhard silver or in this case privately obtained or existing stock for retail distributor Monfra, Tordella & Brooks of New York.

    You will typically see the traditional Engelhard "E" mintmark within the trademark square on the reverse of "JM" for Matthey. These were produced in the mid 1980's
