@ the National - Babe Ruth's Cap being...

so I was looking at the HA booth and was eyeing the 1932 Babe Ruth hat which just sold for $300K at the auction. I noticed the burly security come over with an employee, ask me to move, take the hat of the display case, and give it to an unknown customer.
This guy then looks at the cap, looks at the brim, inspects it, and just DROPS it on the glass case and they continue talking.
I was stunned b/c 1. if this is already sold, i don't want any random people manhandling this cap 2. I was stunned no one from HA really reacted to this cap being handled like it was a craig biggio 2003 worn cap.
just a weird event to witness overall.

Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.
Cut into multiple cards?
Did i win?

Yes, as that is the only reasonable explanation for it, I hope that's the answer. with that said, then i'm shocked someone spends $300K on this and treats it like that. i guess not being in the financial position to spend 300K on it, just leaves me bewildered.
