2011 Heritage Alex Rodriguez revisited.

Ok, so has Topps ever revealed what the deal was with this card. I'm looking at both versions tonight and I thought my eyes were playing tricks on me. The photo is reversed and is identical to its corrected counterpart. No doubt about it. But the Yankee logos are curiously the same, i.e. one is not backwards.

A backwards Yankee logo looks like this.

But the Yankee logo is not backwards in the rev neg Rodriguez on the left.

I just never picked up on this until tonight.

Sure, I can understand that, assuming this wasn't an intentional error. 2002 UD Authentics did this as part of a parallel insert set and the set could not show the teams' logos backwards

But why is Rodriguez's image reversed on this 2010 card-- but not the Yankee logo?

It was an intentional error to recreate the error card in 1962 and create a SSP card for 2011 Heritage.

That's why they didn't flip the team logo
  • neither one can hit homers anymore image
  • It's not the same photo. ARod isn't just a great player, he also has the uncanny ability to pose for a photo and then "mirror" that pose. He even moved the bracelet to his other wrist to make it perfect.
