The Topps 2012 Minis from the National- a few questions

I am considering ordering a 8 or 12 box case from Topps as an investment. I have a few questions.

Did anybody on here bust any of it? Was it worth it? Did you catch yourself waiting to bust more or was it a waste of money. Was there redemption cards or where the autos in the packs?

They seem to be pretty rare as I searched ebay and thought a case of this might not be a bad idea.

The buzz on the produt has been hot, and yes, it does appear the auto's are tough... barely a handful on eBay as of my search yesterday.

I originally ordered 6 boxes, planning to open 3-4 and stash the rest. Some of the thread I've read here and elsewhere, coalation is tough, so I might have to bust more than 3-4 to put together a set...

So I ordered 3 more boxes yesterday!

I'll open what I have to until a set is complete, the rest will be stashed.

I have the same feelings as Eric on the minis. I bought 10 boxes and am busting enough to make a set than stashing the rest! That is until I'm bored one night and decide to bust them all open

I just finished my first box.

5 gold bordered cards $rd to 61
1 silver bordered card #rd to 5

Appears this is norm for a box.

Also pulled a Gio Gonzalez Auto and a Josh Bell printing plate 1/1

1 Bryce Harper, no Darvish or Trout.

I received 6 boxes today and 2 on the way. Plan to break 3 and trade here to finish a set and save the rest. I might buy 2 more.

Nascar360 estimated about 8000 boxes and with 81 autos/relics that is 100 each but it looks like relics are running 2-1 over autos.
He also started a thread on the BST to trade.


I believe autos will be really rare.
