Who else is happy the trader Giambi is struggling with the Stankees?!?

He is getting what he deserves he was greedy and this is how it should happen. He thought everything was going to be great and that this move will help him to make it to the hall of fame. He will be lucky to make the all-star team. He should have stayed with Oakland.

  • I can't stand the Yankees, but I don't think he's a traitor. He would've signed with Oakland at the beginning of the year if they would've just given him a no trade clause. I don't know why they were so against have a no trade clause to begin with, why would they ever trade him. That's there fault and they only have themselves to blame. That's the only reason why he signed with the Yankees. He will turn it around anyways, because he has the short porch at Yankee Stadium.
  • Lol, yeah the Seasons about over he is terrible.....
    Am I speaking Chinese?

  • I think the only people who should be booed in that situation is the management. Your treating it like the A-Rod/Seattle situation in where A-Rod was completely about the money. Giambi just wanted to know that he had security and that somebody wanted him, and I can't say I blame him. I understand that you are bitter and I would be too because you lost a great player, but to call him greedy and to wish for his failure because he wanted job security is kinda low. I'm not trying to insult you or anything, but I think Giambi did everything right in that situation. I have my own feeling about the Yankees, but I wish Jason Giambi the best of luck (except for the ALCS against the M's. image)
Have traded with Ski (x2), Sporto, Donniebaseball, heavyd (x3), cardnyou, sportsguy, chayne2, samsgirl, Vittleboy, JRCCrum (x2), and Bud (x2).
  • That is crap he was about the money also. It was a purely selfish move. He said it would maybe boost him into the hall of fame. Sounds selfish to me. The Yankees just fronted more money than the A's could. The no trade clause was a stupid thing the A's were not budging on but they did remove it and that is what he wanted. He promised he would sign if the A's removed it. They did, then NY came along and flashed a little more money at him. He jumped at it quicker than Shawn Kemp at crack. He thought they were not going to remove it then they did. He is a purly selfish player and I wouldn't be surprised if he gets beaned a few times in Oakland.

  • I hope he and the yanks do not make the playoffs!!!!!! They are killing baseball. I quit following and collecting baseball because they need to get their stuff straight, and make the leauge fair!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I used to like Giambi, but he is a follower and not a leader, I hope the yanks come tumbling down.

Ummm, if someone offered me more cash I'd probably be "greedy" too. I know that athletes make way too much money. It is a joke. By the same measure, I know most of us would give our two weeks notice at our
own jobs if we were offered a lot more cash at a better job. Can you blame the guy for bettering himself? I
am disappointed every time a great player leaves one of my teams, but in the end it is usually not only because of the money. If he truely loved Oakland, he would have stayed. Not only is he getting more cash,
he has went to a proven winner.

  • I'm sick and tired of everyone blaming the problems with the bad teams in baseball on money! I'm not talking about the A's-they have had three good seasons in a row. It all comes down to management running the operation correctly like any other business. youv'e got to be smarter and work harder than the competition to succeed. The A's boffed the Giambi thing by gambling he would have an off year didn't do the bo trade thing untiul it was to late. They gambled and lost. They also still have a pretty good team. Don't call him greedy and blame him, he's the same guy that had MVP calipre seasons the last couple years and was a clubhouse leader. Unfortunately, in the era of free agency not too many players spend there entire careers with one team anymore.

  • I am sorry to say this but it looks like you are the selfish one daystar7104.

I do not really like the Yankees either, but you do not need to get angry with Giambi.

    Sorry.

My favorite team is the Braves. I did not like it when Galarraga went to the Giants last year but I'm not mad at him. Sometimes, players you like go to other teams; however, you shouldn't get mad at the players.

  • The thing is he promised to stay if they dropped the no trade clause. They did and he still went. I am not selfish I am just someone who believes in someones word. If they don't live up to thier word they are a trader. He gave his word then backed out. Period. If he didn't give his word I wouldn't care if he took the better offer even though I would have liked him to stay. He broke his promise. He is a liar and a trader.
