Funniest occurrence at the National

Mike, Dustin and I decided to take a cab to the airport since the rail would take longer. We walked outside and Dustin asked me to ask the cab driver the price since I was so cheap....There was 2 cabs out in front of the convention center waiting on customers..I ask them how much and one says 30 so of course I counter 25... Cab driver says no and I turn to walk off. The other driver says ok get in...The drivers commence to yelling at each other..obviously not from America...one driver tells the other to "shut up" the other responds "shut down"...I just new they were going to pull out a gun at start shooting. Long story short we got a ride to the airport for 25.00.

  • Seriously I was setting ready to start running. It all worked out though we tipped $ 5.00.

I thought the fists would be flying. Good thing calmer heads prevailed, however if we had picked the other cab, I think the second driver would have chased us all the way to BWI!

I took the light rail to the airport this morning. Took about 30 minutes. No yelling, just the faint smell of urine.
Good to meet you guys and I look forward to seeing everyone in Chicago next year.

My buddy and I got into an altercation with a cabbie in DC. He had steam coming out of his ears and proclaimed he was willing to die today, we decided to walk away.

I think Chicago now has the puke tax as well. Only seems like the fair thing to do. LOL

That happened to me in Vegas one time. One of the cab drivers actually started shoving the other cab driver. It was outside of Stardust too, which is probably the event that closed the place down.
