The scraps are drying out at Scrap Park, but still managed a few keepers today.
Got another war nickel after 5 minutes. Not much for a while, then got a deeper quarter signal - turned out to be a 1950 Washington. Moved to the other side of the park and got a V nickel, then got a neat Buffalo nickel that was shot!
Toward the end of the hunt I got a deep quarter signal. Must have taken 5 minutes to dig with all the roots - but 7 1/2 inches down felt a flat, round object. Could it be a large cent. Please be a large cent! Rubbed some green stuff off and saw it was Canadian. DOH, too bad... really was hoping for a large cent. BUT, the guy before me either missed it, or his detector couldn't reach it. So hoping next one will be a large cent.
Also got an 1864 IHC.

<< <i>Nice work! I must say thats the ugliest 1950 Wash Ive ever seen! Lol >>
haha, it was in that semi-hard dirt that's a few inches from pavement. Seems like silver comes out like that for some reason. We'll take an ugly silver over clad anyday!
