I really like the Charlton catalog illustrations of so many different die varieties. In my 66h edition, page 66 shows closeup photos of 10 different die varieties for the five cents of 1891, 1892, 1893, 1897, and 1900. But there are tons of closeup die variety photos throughout the book. Check it out if you like Canadian coins and varieties!
Nice coin which I still miss, although it is apparently not so scarce. 1960 NY is correct. it is in the Charlton Varieties listed. he even hit the grade as Vf20 correct. it is sometimes difficult to grade these small coins correctly .

Nice looking little coin, too. Once wiped, perhaps, but but I like the toning.
About the only in depth study of these occurs with the 1859 large cent.
Although these varieties are interesting, they unfortunately carry very little additional numismatic value.

It has been catalogued by Cross/Charlton as RP#1 (1/1, 8/8, 9/9 narrow date) reference 2010 edition of Charlton, 64th ed, page 366.
The 3 on your example looks like it got mashed a bit. Your coin looks to be VF value about $25.
