August 3, 2012: 5 Silvers including dime trifecta

Got out to the "scraps" park yesterday. Was able to pick up 5 silver coins, including an 1887 Seated dime! I just barely scraped the edge with my shovel and was bummed. Upon getting it home, I could see the dime was also bent, and used and abused, so the little scrape wasn't as big of a deal at that point, haha.

So, the scraps tally from yesterday is:

2 IHCs - 1864 and 190? The 1864 must have been crisp when it was dropped - it has great underlying detail.
5 wheat cents - haven't gotten dates yet
2 Buffalo Nickels - both dateless
2 Wartime Nickels - 1942-S, 1943-P
1 Seated Dime - 1887
1 Barber Dime - 1908
1 Merc Dime - 1941

Still plenty of park to go! Heading back today. If this is what I'm finding, can you imagine what others before me have picked up?

Love that '64 IHC with the patina and the full LIBERTY.

Any site that produces a three-type silver dime trifecta is a good site in my book.

Actually, your hotspots count as GREAT sites in my book.

Collector since 1976. On the CU forums here since 2001.
