Another way NOT to package a cello pack

This came in the mail today. It's one of those "I appreciate the effort but what were you thinking" situations:

Doug....use a hair dryer (high heat, but be careful not to burn your fingers).....that will loosen the tape.....

Thanks Bobby. I was able to get the tape off but it left a sticky residue on both sides of the pack. Planned on sub-ing the next time PSA ran a special. Prolly gonna just send it back.

You can use the water based "Goof Off" and the sticky residue should come right off. Or you can use the stronger oil based "Goof Off" or lighter fluid, as it would work faster and shouldn't harm the plastic. I would probably try the water based one first.....

If you are going to package it that way ... at least wrap the cello in a sheet of copy paper first.

Use some Goo Gone. The sticky residue should come right off.

I had a guy years ago send me a card that he wrapped up very tightly in cello wrap & then decided to pour a pound of heavy duty clear masking tape around it. No card saver or nothing.
It took me almost an hour to free the card, but it was so tightly wrapped, the corners were all rounded.

Or you can drink it instead and then you won't give a sh*t if it comes off or not!

Bottom line - don't send it back just for some sticker residue. Especially if you got a good deal on it. Maybe email the seller to let him know so he won't pack things up that poorly in the future.
