Great deal or scam......?

1951 mantle RC PSA 7 NM

Did the seller lift the scans or did someone get a great deal?

The seller's feedback doesn't scream high-end collectibles to me. More like garage sale/thrift store surplus.

Haven't sold anything since January 2012, and they come out with a PSA 7 Mantle rookie.

    Is it possible? Yes.

    Is it risky? Definitely yes.

  • Tuff to say! They have excellent feedback but no history of high end selling. Not much activity since January but they do have some shirts for sale now? Sounds to good to be true though, if I was a betting man, I'd say the buyer will not receive that card. Hope I'm wrong!!!image

I though the same thing. Star Wars t-shirts and thrift store junk doesn't fit in with the Mantle.
  • Just did a psa cert verification it matches. Card looks too good to be true tho.
  • This same card sold back in 2008 via Memory Lane for $10,665: Link Is it me or does the scan from eBay look like the exact same scan from five years ago?

  • The only thing that would make me think that it was not a scam is there is no scan of the back of the card on the ML auction, while the eBay auction does provide one.

Great work finding the front scan, I looked for a little bit but had no luck. They could have taken a NM back scan from any other auction on the web. It just seems weird that someone after 7 years and 100% would try and pull a scam out of the blue.
