1973-74 Panini JACK NICKLAUS on ebay PSA 10

No it is not mine and I have no idea who is selling it but I think this is a fantastic card. It is over $300 right now and it should be quite a bit higher near the end.

Thank you for posting that link. This card is super tough to find in any condition, much less in a PSA 10. I'd think this card will end well over a grand.

I'm pretty sure a 9 sold for 4 figures about a year ago. A beat up raw (prob PSA3) one was on ebay and only sold for about 30 bucks a few months ago. This should go for big bucks.

My understanding is this card has sold for close to 4k before. This could go a lot higher.

I have a PSA 10 Roberto Duran RC from that set, and those stickers are extremely tough to find in gem mint condition.
I am buying and trading for RC's of Wilt Chamberlain, George Mikan, Bill Russell, Oscar Robertson, Jerry West, and Bob Cousy!

Once I am able to raise the funds for a massive submission of over 2500 cards, I will be in much more of a selling position until I am able to pay back the cost of the grading. The best of my Parkies are in that submission, including (if I remember correctly) complete sets of both series, plus a few upgrades. Not to mention several complete sets of the 1983 Wrestling All Stars in NM/MT to GEM MINT condition.

This card might end up closer to 2K, when it's all said and done. It's nice seeing some of these foreign issues performing so well (outside of Cassius Clay cards).

With the '73 Nicklaus doing so well, I'm interested to see how this card finishes: 1971 Barratt - Jack Nicklaus SGC 9. It's not nearly as rare as the '73 Panini - but for anyone that has collected this set, you'll know how hard it is to find them centered. It took me forever to track down a centered Clay card.

I have always thought that the Nicklaus Barrett card is undervalued, considering there is not a Panini card prior to it.
There are only 30+ PSA 9's of the Barratt, and Nicklaus its one of the true legends of sport.

Gregmo - Have you collected this set much?

At one point in time I was buying every Barratt Clay I could find (from overseas sellers). I was also under the impression that it was his rookie. When I discovered all of the Italian cards he had from the 60's, I ended up selling the 71's. I will say this about that set though - it is really tough to find nicely centered cards.

I have bought quite a few cards from the 1971 Barratt. At one time I had a PSA 9 Muhammad ALi when it was a one of three.
The Nicklaus is tougher than the ALi, and is actually his RC. The centering is difficult across the board.

Agreed. I've seen so many OC Ali cards, that I started to wonder if there were any centered examples out there.
