Here is some more information I got in an email.
Ben, we can use anything. We have a silent auction table, and raffles the whole weekend. In the past, we have had everything from a beach rental vacation, a signed Jimmy Hunter, baseball, a Curt Schilling signed jersey, beach chair, and a rod & reel. Every dime we make goes to the Jim "Catfish" Hunter ALS Foundation. My name is Joan Hunter, and any donation can be sent to me. Any items are tax deductable, and i will be glad to send you a receipt.
