All of these tough forum vigilantes. Shouldn't have to tell you this, Mr. Imperious, but if it doesn't concern you, keep moving along. There are OT postings all of the time, including a lengthy poker thread just a week or two ago. Where were you then? Nowhere to be found, which is where you should have been for this one. Be willing to bet that this impacts a number of people who visit this forum (you know, it actually involves $), and if they weren't aware of it before, now they are.

As for the other douche, congrats. We'll send you awards for your achievements.

I still find it amazing that so many idiots can clearly see that a thread is titled "OT" with a topic that they have no interest in, yet they STILL open it and b!@th, lol. I don't open threads that I have no interest in. Or does that make too much sense?

Agreed. Maybe we need a card of a poker player to appease the masses. Someone throw up one of the A&G Annie Duke cards.

  • There is a sports forum. You can post poker stuff there and save yourself .1 seconds by not having to type "OT".
  • Putting aside the argument about the inclusion of this particular thread in this particular forum, I have always found it amusing that you can basically post about whatever the hell you want as long as you put "OT:" in front of your thread title.

To the contrary. Been waiting for this day for over 15 months. But by all means, keep trying to dictate what people talk about on here. The next time you succeed will be the first time. Perhaps the inclusion of "OT" should always be a prerequisite -- just to make sure you read it.

And Aric, you're welcome bro. Hope you expeditiously receive your funds that are comprised of donations made by Foo and Pete.

  • so FTP players will eventually get their money back. I got all excited because I thought the US ban might have been lifted
  • Just give Foo something for free, and he'll leave you alone.

I also seem to remember a recent thread about Jeff Conine that had ZERO to do with Cards or Memorabila.

Maybe that should have been posted in the "I met a so-so ball player" forum.

Thanks for the info galaxy. I wont believe it until I have my funds though.

  • Mattingly, are you still crying because you pm'd me and I told you to go away. Dont cry buddy, its ok...

And about Conine, at least its sports related. I also did mention that he wasnt a big name, but you dont come off as being to bright anyways, but good try clown image

    Here's another article

    Article

    From the article:

<< <i>The agreement signaled the imminent return of online poker in the United States after a lengthy hiatus that damaged the poker industry with dropping television ratings, waning interest, and a litany of lawsuits against sites like Full Tilt. Nobody thinks that PokerStars would have invested $731 million without some certainty that online poker would soon be legal in the United States. >>

At least it's sport related? WTF does that mean? Your thread had nothing to do with cards or memorabilia, just as this thread has nothing to do with cards or memorabilia.
I played pick up basketball last night, and I went 4-4 in my softball league last Sunday.....Can I start a thread about that?.....It's "at least sport related" after all.

As far as you "telling me to go away", that's funny. I PM'd you once, and that's the only PM I ever intend on sending you. The reason for my message was to let you know that I thought it was funny that when I got into it with Bobby on the PIF thread you jumped all over me, defending Bobby like his knight in shining armor. But when another member got into it with him for the same exact reason what did you do? You took a free card from that member!

I found it amusing that for you the price of loyalty is a 1970 Topps Tom Seaver PSA 8.

The deal only involves player deposits, not player winnings. Big difference.

Your kind of nasty to people on here and that's why I don't like you. You came on to the board at first all friendly *cough fake *cough... but you quickly became a douche to those who didn't see eye to eye with you or questioned something you purchased like when the authenticity of those Topps Mattingly lot you purchased a few months back which I recall you graded and they came back good. This is an open forum and anything you write is open for discussion regardless of whether you agree or not.

As far as Bobby, he can tell you that Ive personally asked him to take it down a notch on his comments because he just comes off as too straight forward and he understands that. You just kept crying about Bobby this and Bobby that every other post and it was getting old and were bringing absolutely nothing positive to that thread. About the "other member", we've had our little quarrels but then again so has everyone and your damn right Id take a card from you too if it was half as nice as the one that person put up.

By the way, if you were 4-4 with your softball team, then pat yourself on your back.

I busted my account a few days before it got locked down, but I have a few friends that will be interested in this article so thanks for posting it. For all of the people complaining about it but still reading it and posting about it, why don't you just go start a thread about why your Greg Gagne 89 topps took psa 3 months to grade and it recieved a psa 7. Seriously if you don't like the thread don't read it and stop acting like the geeky kid in school that goes on a power trip when he becomes hall monitor.

  • << <i>By the way, if you were 4-4 with your softball team, then pat yourself on your back. >>

    That's the best you got?

You're a douche, not to mention a hypocrite because I've seen you act like the sports cards forum police when some OT threads are posted, yet other OT threads are OK with you. You even STARTED an OT thread a day or two ago.

You've posted to a recent OT thread about which bands people have seen live, and another about a board members son who played The National Anthem at a minor league game. You didn't have a problem with those threads (neither did I for the record), so why are other OT threads not OK with you?

Because you're a hypocrite, that's why. Just like when you took issue with me during my spat with Bobby. When it was me saying something you felt the need to jump in and rip me for ripping Bobby, but when there was a free card involved you had no problem with what was being said to him. Hypocrite.

PS everyone I'll soon be starting a thread about the time I saw Dan Pasqua at 7-11. He was buying Orange Juice, and scratch off lottery tickets. He was nice enough to take a picture with me!

Seriously. Ya remember when just about every single thread was packed with interesting information about SPORTS CARDS!?
  • perkdogperkdog Posts: 31,200 ✭✭✭✭✭
As far back as I can remember the threads that got the most action were always the "piling on" ones where 1 guy gets attacked from every angle, OT posts are nothing new and personally I got no problem with them. Basicaly the set threads get seldom action anymore and its mostly ebay/paypal questions or gripes now.

This weekends National should bring in alot of good stuff to read though.
  • Wow Mattingly, I really hurt your feelings didn't I. Grow up and get over it. Sorry you cried on your pillow all night because I "jump all over you".Btw, lets define what "jumped all over you really means" - I said "let it go" and that "it was getting old". Oh boy, reading that now, your right, how could I have been so cruel? Your right about me posting on the board about what band I saw the most. Sometimes things do get stale here but Im no forum police so I dont know where your getting that from. Things around here need to get back to the hobby. On posting about the national anthem, at least it was at a SPORTS event and it was a nice to meet Jeff Conine - the guy is a former baseball player you know? At least Conine KNEW he was being photographed. Regardless of whatever you may think, it doesn't take away that I still think you treat people on here like they are below you and for that, I cant stand you and I ignore all the threads you've made.

No question that the piling on threads have always gotten the most action. However, 5 years ago there were so many active posters posting about sports cards that the other stuff was just a side note. Now, it seems, there are more kids interested in drama, using multiple alts to create more drama, etc....

Not to say the boards were perfect as we did have that big scam by that scumbag down in Fresno. I can't recall his name now. The '75 cards.

Anyway, it has gotten incredibly petty around here with tons of grudge holders.
