OT - Are people here good typers?

I was reading a long thread the other day and realized that I often take for granted that it doesn't take too long to type something up, because I am pretty decent with the keyboard. I pretty much grew up with computers such as the Atari 1200XL and then Commodore 64, and then Amiga 500, etc. I did take one typing class in high school I think, but I think I learned mostly from use as I have always been one to pound away on a computer making little programs or whatever.

There is a website that is pretty cool to test your typing speed (I have no relationship to the site - I just think it's well done). Here is the link:

English typing test

When you go there you are shown words to type - just type as quick and good as you can including the spaces and see how you can do.

Here are my results

it helps if the text has some sort of meaning. There is no flow to the sentence which makes it very hard to type in my opinion. I thought I was a pretty good typist but apparently not after seeing some of the results.

Okay, this just can't be correct. Let me preface this by saying I am a decent typist... I think. Then I realized that I could not figure out how to paste the screenshot like everyone else.... and I just realized that I hit the backspace button every second word or so to correct my mistakes. I am obviously an idiot because I couldn't even figure out what I was supposed to be typing at first. Anyways, here are my results. Now I just realized that I am typing in the middle of my post, but hopefully you can figure this out. I also just realized why I do not post very often even after reading every post on this board for at least the last five years. I don't think think the beers all day helped either.

FYI.... It took me 15 minutes to type this post.

SleepyDave, maybe you were off by one word the entire time! You should be able to see some progress as you go from word to word (they change color to green when you are done with a word).

As for taking the picture, you can just copy the text from the box that appears when you are done and paste them here.
